Meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition (Najmah)

The Board of Directors of the National Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition (Najmah) held an extraordinary meeting at the Alliance’s headquarters in the Queen Zein Al Sharaf Institute, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, president of the National Alliance, and attended by Her Excellency Ms. Farah Daghestani, Vice president, and Dr. Walid Abd Rabbo, Secretary-General of the Alliance, along with other board members. Her Royal Highness opened the session by extending gratitude and welcoming all members, emphasizing that their collective presence strengthens the Alliance’s ability to achieve its new strategic vision and goals. Her Excellency Ms. Farah Daghestani highlighted that forming partnerships with institutions and stakeholders to achieve the Alliance’s objectives is a key pillar of its strategy. She stressed the importance of collaboration to create a sustainable impact in combating hunger and malnutrition. For his part, Dr. Walid Abdul Rabbo, Secretary-General of the Alliance, underscored the need to adapt to new developments and changes while positioning the Alliance as a leading non-governmental entity actively working to combat hunger, malnutrition, and food waste. The meeting included discussions on several key issues, such as reviewing the achievements made in the past period and assessing the latest updates on funding opportunities the Alliance has applied for, in its efforts to enhance food security and reduce food waste. The meeting concluded with an agreement to follow up on the implementation of the approved decisions and recommendations to ensure the achievement of the desired goals and strengthen the Alliance’s role as an active force in addressing food-related challenges.
