Rana was one of the beneficiaries of the "Food for
Training" project implemented in cooperation with the World Food Program
in its early stages, where she learned how to make sweets, especially
chocolate. While looking for an opportunity to prove her skills in the desserts
sector, she was interested in developing her capabilities and applied for our
other project, "e-learning", which includes a course on project
management, in addition to social media marketing.
Based on her ambition and successful experience during
training, in both projects she started making chocolate after buying raw
materials and selling them from her home, she developed and launched a Facebook
page (with more than two thousand followers) and with a few advertising
campaigns she succeeded in providing a source of income through the page,
especially in the festive season.
Rana did not stop at her page on social media, with the
encouragement of customers and friends and positive moral support, and based on
what she learned from the project management course (administrative, marketing
and financial), she did an economic feasibility study for her own project, she
applied to the Development and Employment Fund and obtained a loan of 5000 JDs,
and with the help of her mother and the support of some friends, she opened a
shop to sell her products.
